Rules

Please read them all as they're all equally important.
  • Treat other members with the respect they deserve. This should go without saying, but treat others like you would like to be treated! No flaming, trolling, baiting, etc. Ain't cool, okay? And DEFINITELY no prejudice. No racism, sexism, ageism, etc. will be acceptable.
  • This forum will be primarily English-speaking; I am sorry, but I can't allow non-English language posts.
  • Please do not spam. The definition of spam is an irrelevant or advertising post. Any post considered spam will be removed. Likewise, do not post the same content over and over in threads across the forum. Please stay on topic. Don't repeat yourself over and over.
  • Please do not derail threads or post disruptively. For the sake of other community members, please stay on topic. Do not derail posts. Do not post disruptive comments in a thread with the intention of riling other members.
  • Please do not post threads text in all CAPITALS since this is considered to be shouting and is not necessary. A little bit of capslock squee is fine, but otherwise please refrain.
  • Please refrain from posting super large images. If they're slowing the load speed of the page, the post may be edited and the image deleted. Currently, all images displaying in message posts and signatures will be automatically resized, but this still taxes the load-speed.
  • Insulting and flaming or personal attacks against forum staff will be not tolerated. However, moderator and administration criticism/concern is welcome. You will never be banned for asking a question, expressing a concern, or questioning our moves. Just do so respectfully.
  • Please be considerate in language you use on the forum, some of our members are younger than others. Swearing is not completely banned, just do not swear unnecessarily, and only use minor words.
  • No hacking, and illegal activity, such as torrents and illegal downloads, this will not be tolerated, and if appropriate, may be reported to local authority. So please do not do this.
  • Please do not post inappropriate material, I think everyone understands what I mean by this. The policy goes that if you would not feel comfortable viewing it at work, or in front of children or parents, don't post it. There is an 18+ over forum, and there it is okay to post "adult" material, but even so keep this within reasonable boundaries. Absolutely no illegal images may be posted.
  • One account per user, please. This means: NO SOCKS. If you have a family member with the same IP address as you, please let me know ahead of time, and it's all good.
  • Please tag all spoilers outside of the Spoiler forum or a Spoiler thread with the appropriate tags.
  • No actor bashing or slander. Bashing in this context is defined as slamming the actor for anything beyond their control (ex: appearance). Criticizing their acting/performance or behavior is allowed. Do not make up lies about the actors/cast.
  • No fan bashing. Do not target a specific group of fans with jabs. We're mature adults, let's not play into cliques.
  • Please credit your sources -- for spoilers (usually The Spoiling Dead Fans or SpoilerTV), fan art, fan fiction, etc. People work hard to bring material to us, it is only right they get kudos.
  • When posting an article, please only post the first couple paragraph or so then link to the original article. Do not copy/paste entire articles written from any source other than AMC official.
  • No real-life shipping, please. It blurs the line between reality and fiction too much for the liking of this forum. It falls into the realm of potential slander. You're welcome to enjoy it, just elsewhere.
When you notice a rules violation: DO NOT RESPOND TO THE OFFENDING POST. Please use the "Report" feature, and the staff will take it from there.

I think these rules are clear, and easy to follow. These are only in place to ensure our community is a fun place to be, and a comfortable atmosphere for all.

What happens if I break a rule?

Depending on the severity of the infraction, a different course of action may be taken, but the usual practice is as follows:
  • 1st rule break: You will be politely reminded of the rules in a PM. The offensive post may be deleted/edited. No major penalty will be given. For a more serious offence, a warning will be issued, this is a mark against your name letting us know you have broken a rule.
  • 2nd rule break: You will be issued a warning. If it is another serious violation, action will be decided accordingly, and hopefully fairly.
  • 3rd rule break: On your 3rd warning, you will receive a temporary ban, the length of which will depend on the severity of the incident.
  • 4th rule break and beyond: If you cannot be reasoned with in a private discussion, you may be banned permanently; otherwise, the length of the ban will be longer than after your 3rd strike.
If there is any major violation (such as illegal activity (hacking, illegal imagery, torrent sharing), threats, etc.) you will be permanently banned, no questions asked. Authorities may be contacted if the violation is severe enough.

While this guideline fits for most cases, the administration does reserve the right to terminate accounts as they deem necessary.

Please note: any content created by a member of this forum during their membership will remain. It cannot be deleted and the owner reserves the right to keep any content available to users that was generated.

If you have any questions regarding the rules feel free to PM any member of site staff, who will be able to clear things up for you.
