Not their kid, Sam's mother is the idiot. If he was my kid I'd be dragging his ass to the church. What this guy said makes no sense no matter who he's talking about since the recap said the deaths are mostly offscreen and there's hardly any blood. I think he really worded his feelings wrong because he makes it sound like some heinous gore-fest.

I just hope he writes a proper opinion piece after the fact about the show if it really is Sam's death that bugs him, which it sounds like it may be through his otherwise weird writing choices. There are so many things to be criticized there, it's basically begging to be written.

Maybe in his mind, the death of a child automatically equals gratuitous violence? IDK.

Most of us have already mentioned taking Sam out in the herd makes no sense. This is a Jessie call back to her bad mothering skills. We also have the 2nd idiotic move of not heading with Father G to the church. I find it quite stupid myself however I am not picking it apart because it gives me the happy ending I seek (dead Jessie).

LOL and I know already I have evil thoughts and embrace them.

That's right. The fault clearly lies with Jessie for not helping Sam work through his issues, for not preparing him in case evacuation was necessary. There was a herd banging at the gates, but she chose to spend her time making owl statues. This reviewer clearly blames Michonne and Rick, though, because he blames the survivors who should have known better and kept it from happening.

And that bothers me. They're more experienced so it's their fault? It was Jessie's choice to not prepare her child, it was Jessie's choice to take her children out in the herd(granted there wasn't much choice at that point but still), it was her choice not to take her children to the church with Gabe if Sam refused to go. Who cares if he said he could handle it? Who cares if her help was possibly needed to get the cars? Her children should come first, screw everything else, they are HER responsibility. What Rick said to Morgan about Carter is ringing in my ears.

Let's not forget Michonne, Father G had no interaction with the child (Rick's was very limited). They have no clue what a complete and utter hot mess Sam is. This is a Jessie call alone, the other adults should not be blamed for poor Sam's demise.

Agreed. I feel like this is the beginning of the Rick-and/or-Michonne-hate that we're going to see after this episode.

Plus the jerkwad called the baby Sophia. He should be ignored for that alone. Does he really even watch the show? Who doesn't know that, even casual viewers:mad:

Yeah if he's not paying close enough attention to remember the name of a Grimes child I very much doubt he's been paying close enough attention to other things.
