Not sure why, but I get the feeling that I'm alone in this episode being one of my favorites, but it is. So much of the close connection of the Atlanta5 is cemented in this episode, and it's the first one where really loyalty in the group is shown, and it just kills me. And the whole scene from the last confrontation with "G" through the end slays me. Just slays me.

I think maybe this is the first episode that made me cry, is why it gets to me.

The moment at the end when G tells Rick about how their situation came to be, and then he says .... "The people here? They all look to me now. I don't even know why."

And that close-up on Rick, the pause, and then, "Because they can."

It slays me. Just kills me. I fall apart at that moment every time.

It's like this is what is missing in the collapse of civilization. Good people doing good with no hope of repayment, just because they are good people. G and the Vatos didn't have to stay to take care of the old folks, but they did. For no reason other than simple goodness. The ultimate in selflessness in the most horrible of situations.

I agree. Some people didn't like it but I thought it was quite well done and earned the pathos without going overboard. This seems to be a polarizing ep for some reason though.

I liked it too. I like seeing the other survivors. I found the stand off ridiculous but pretty funny at the same time. I also liked the dynamic of Baby Rick, Glenn, Daryl and Tdog. Also the stuff that popped off back at the quarry was crazy.
